After World Cup victories, BCCI offers a huge $600,000 award for the U19 women's team.

Even though January has only just started, India's women's cricket has had a fantastic start. The BCCI offered a $600,000 incentive for the players and support staff after India's women's team won the first U19 World Cup.

Jay Shah Shah, the BCCI secretary, congratulated the team on Twitter and revealed the prize money.

"Women's cricket in India is on the rise, and the World Cup victory has raised the sport's prestige considerably. I'm excited to inform that the entire team and support workers will receive INR 5 crore in prize money. Undoubtedly, this is a ground-breaking year."

The third T20I between India and New Zealand will be broadcast live at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday, February 1. Captain Shafali Verma and her entire team have been invited.
