Joginder Sharma, a member of the INDIA squad that won the 2007 T20 World Cup, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Friday.
The all-rounder, who represented India from 2004 to 2007, rose to fame with his valiant final over against Pakistan in the championship game of the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup in Johannesburg in 2007. It ended up being his final international game for India as well.
Joginder maintained composure while defending 13 in the final over to deliver one of the most infamous final overs in T20 World Cup history. The all-rounder maintained composure despite being struck for six on the first ball and caught Misbah-ul-Haq at short fine-leg to earn India their first T20 World Cup victory.
